Police in India arrested an astrologer after his prediction that another earthquake would hit Gujarat state caused panic in an area already devastated by a deadly quake. Because of the dark prediction, many people chose to sleep out in the open, even abandoning houses considered safe.
The 7.7-magnitude quake on Jan. 26 killed thousands and flattened entire towns, leaving many more homeless.
